Manuel Kaulich is a functional and computational geneticist at the Goethe University Frankfurt, Germany. He was born in Berlin and moved to different parts of Germany, Switzerland, and the United States for his education before starting his independent research group in Frankfurt. He is an expert in gene editing technologies and CRISPR-based functional genomics. His research focuses on elucidating combinatorial gene effects and developing technological and computational methods to enable these investigations. Manuel is also an inventor of gene editing technologies and the co-founder of the biotech company Vivlion which provides CRISPR genomics for the global R&D market.
