Dr. Leszek Lisowski is a world vectorology expert with over 15 years of experience in developing and manufacturing viral vectors for human gene therapy. Currently, he is the Unit Head of Translational Vectorology Research Unit at the University of Sydney / Children’s Medical Research Institute in Sydney, Australia, where he also established, and manages, Vector and Genome Engineering Facility. His research concentrates on the studies of liver and CNS biology, AAV biology and vectorology, and development of novel bioengineered AAV variants for gene replacement and gene editing applications. He interests extend also to vector manufacturing, especially clinical manufacturing.

Last October 9th the core group of CorEuStem COST Action got together in Riga, Latvia.
