The CorEuStem Training School 2024 – Advances in reprogramming & CRISPR/Cas9 took place at the Centre for Genomic Regulation (CRG) in Barcelona, Spain, on 16th April 2024.
The meeting gathered experts from the different core facilities in Europe, covering the latest advances in human stem cells and gene editing technologies. Invited speakers included: Dr Ana Belén Álvarez-Palomo (Banc de Sang i Teixits, Barcelona, Spain), Dr Justin McDonough (Jackson Laboratories, Farmington, Connecticut), Dr Andrea Rossi (IUF-Leibniz Research Institute for Environmental Medicine, Düsseldorf, Germany), Dr Bieke Bekaert (Ghent University Hospital, Ghent, Belgium), Dr Benjamin Gregor (Allen Institute for Cell Science, Seattle, Washington), Dr Sergii Velychko (Harvard Medical School, Boston, Massachusetts), Dr Ilyas Singec (FUJIFILM Cellular Dynamics, Inc.; University of Freiburg, Germany), Dr Tamer Önder (KOÇ University, Instambul, Türkiye).
On 17th April WG1, WG2, and WG3 met to discuss challenges regarding gene editing and stem cells quality.
