WG3: Quality Control Standardization and Harmonization

WG3

Description

WG3 will evaluate, and benchmark the protocols, reagents and procedures used across facilities. WG3 will be the framework that enables this comparison, identifying and establishing standardized best practice with respect to general and quality control procedures, thereby facilitating harmonization through dissemination and adoption.

Tasks

  • Annually define the set of procedures to be benchmarked and QC tested among facilities.
  • Analyse and define for each procedure, optimised production, resources, reagents and instruments required and quality control tests to be performed for product quality assurance.
  • Foster exchange of expertise among individual platforms in individual technologies and promote harmonisation.

Activities

  • Continuous communication through the network forum and e-mailing list
  • Teleconference meeting in Q3, Q5, Q7, Q9, Q11, Q13 & Q15 to summarise and implement tasks among the working group.
  • Participation and presentation of results in annual symposium (Q4, Q8, Q12 and Q16)

  • WG3 meeting minutes in Q3, Q5, Q7, Q9, Q11, Q13 & Q15
  • Annual WG3 comprehensive procedures database compilation ready for webpage update in Q4, Q6, Q8, Q10, Q12, Q14 and Q16

Structure

Meet the other Working Groups

WG1: Challenging the Frontiers of Stem Cell and Organoids Technologies

WG1 will define the set of protocols to be evaluated and to be put in common from the reprogramming, iPSC maintenance and culture, 2D differentiation and 3D organoids.

WG2: Consolidated and Emerging Gene Editing Technologies

WG2 will define the set of protocols, reagents, and procedures to be put in common for the network regarding gene editing and CRISPR/CAS technologies.

WG4: Training and Professional Development

WG4 will plan, design, develop and organise the training events, workshops on human development activities required for the network.

WG5: Network Building and Strengthening

The objective of WG5 will be to build, grow and strengthen the ties between members of the CorEuStem Action as well as attracting new members.

WG6: Transversal Management, Exploitation and Dissemination

WG6 will manage and work transversally to integrate and evolve the different technologies and actions in the network, the interactions.

The COST Action CorEuStem will be comprised of European core facilities that are experts in stem cell biology, differentiation, organoids and gene editing technologies with the aim of developing an efficient and effective consortium for harmonizing procedures and protocols across Europe and beyond.
